While we’re a little behind in getting this out, we couldn’t be more proud of the work we accomplished in 2023!
The Western Organization of Resource Councils made remarkable strides in 2023. We helped our members get a lot of opportunities to speak to decision-makers face-to-face, flying them to Washington D.C. and Denver, among other places. WORC’s members’ compelling stories of combating corporate control of the cattle market and facing health hazards from oil field pollution got the attention of decision makers, and their collective action drove significant policy advancements. These achievements build from years of grassroots efforts, marking last year as a milestone with promising developments expected in 2024.
Thanks to our supporters, we saw an increase in both funds and actions taken in 2023 that enabled us to continue to strengthen our campaigns and expand support to our member groups. as we head into 2024, which is already shaping up to be an historic year.
